About
Remote Guidance is an online medical journal portal dedicated to information, articles and news about applying cutting edge technology to share high level professional medical expertise into locations or situations where it would be previously impossible to get.
In our work we have previously demonstrated unprecedented success with remote guidance in our research endeavors. Indeed the most exotic and most challenging environments have been our proving grounds. We have made the exotic and rare seem routine. It began with Ultrasound studies on the International Space Station. The astronauts are brilliant but usually have no medical training. In fact, the crew medical officer is typically trained less than an lowest ambulance driving qualification. Not trying to offend our excellent ambulance and EMS personnel, just making a point, that’s all you got up there!
Most of our imaging options were not available, CAT scan, Magnetic resonance imaging, plain X-rays... However at some point they installed an ultrasound device. That created many medical options where ultrasound was not ideal but could be adapted.
